Hospice Tree

Members of the Carolinas Canvas Connection of the American Needlepoint Gulid and the Spartan Samplers chapter of the Embroiderer's Guild of America in Spartanburg, South Carolina, joined together for an outreach project for their community. The members chose the Santa collection by Designs by Petei. The Santas were bought at The Needle and Canvas, stitched by the members and many other local non-members and finished by The Spinning Wheel Shop in Houston, Texas. They were donated to the new Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home which opened in December 2006.
A total of seventy-one Santas were completed by Christmas with many more to be completed in 2007. These will form a permanent collection for the hospice home for the patients and their families to enjoy.
